Peppi, our Director, emigrated to Australia in the early 80s. It was here in Victoria her passion for childcare began.
She started a family day care service from her home providing for families in her area, while raising two children of her own.
From there she moved onto centre-based care and sessional kindergarten.
In 2015, she decided to go back to family day care and created Wattle Tree Family Day Care with her husband, Hugo, and youngest son, Freddy.
With Wattle Tree, she could now provide for families all over Victoria.
Peppi now has over 33 years of experience in the Early Childhood Sector, where she has gained the experience, knowledge, and strength that has honed her leadership skills.
Under Wattle Tree, she has continued to mentor Educators, who under her guidance, have become knowledgeable Early Childhood professionals. They not only become excellent Educators but acquire the necessary skills to manage their own family day care businesses.

Wattle Tree is a small family run business. We offer the same hands-on and intimate approach with our Educators as our Educators provide to the children under their care. We strongly believe that the values behind Family Day Care should be implemented in every facet of our service. Here our Educators can not only grow, but thrive.
Hugo is Co-Director and has been Peppi’s support since her initial years in the Early Childhood Sector, from her time as a student and raising their own children.
Freddy grew up in the family day care environment. In his youth, he was used to welcoming new friends to his home. His strengths are in Administration, his knowledge about the Family Assistance Law and its compliance has made him an invaluable member of the team. Freddy supports our Educators by finding ways to minimise their admin work and streamlining the enrolment process for families to give them the care they need as soon as possible.
Supporting our Educators is paramount. Whether it be concerning fees, training, or compliancy, we are only a phone call away.
